Mitchell Earns Conference Accolade

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the second time this season, Boise State senior Bre Mitchell has been named the Mountain West Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.

Mitchell, a senior libero, earned the award for her effort against Fresno State (Oct. 2) and at Utah State (Oct. 4). A senior from Temecula, Calif., she averaged 18 digs and was 53-for-53 on serve receive while garnering a third-career weekly honor.

In a 3-0 sweep of the Bulldogs, Mitchell had 19 digs and handled 20 serve receives. She also contributed an ace and five assists.

Against the Aggies, she recorded 17 digs and was perfect on 33 serve receives in a five-set loss. She contributed two aces and an assist in Logan.
