Boise State Softball Signs Five

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State softball program added two catchers, a pair of outfielders and a pitcher, head coach Justin Shults announced, Wednesday.
 
"This class has speed, power and a solid arm," Shults said. "It encompasses all facets of the game and I am excited to have this group join our program."
 
Kendall Atwood (OF, West Linn, Ore., West Linn HS)
Atwood .478 over her sophomore and junior seasons. She stole 53 bases in 50 games and scored 66 runs.
 
Tanner Banks (C, Fort Mohave, Ariz., Mohave Accelerated)
Banks has a gaudy .670 batting average in three seasons. She has collected 119 extra-base hits, including 49 home runs, in 87-career games. She has 60 stolen bases and 213 runs.
 
Mimi Botticelli (RHP, San Diego, Calif., Cathedral Catholic HS)
Botticelli is 17-2 with a 2.55 ERA in her career. She has fanned 253 batters in 222 1/3 innings.
 
Adyson Owens (C, Hanford, Calif., Hanford West HS)
Owens has a .390 career batting average over three seasons. She has 59 RBI and 59 runs in 70 games.
 
Saige Peters (OF, Mesa, Ariz., Red Mountain HS)
Peters has a .377 career average in three years. She has recorded 55 RBI and 72 runs in 75 games and registered 40 extra-base hits.
