
NFL Broncos: Week 11

BOISE, Idaho – Ten former Boise State players will represent the program in Week 11 of the NFL season. Four former Broncos are set to play in nationally-televised games, including three on the international stage. The Washington Commanders (John Bates, Jeremy McNichols) and Miami Dolphins (Cedrick Wilson Jr.) will play in Madrid, Spain, on Sunday morning. Former teammates Scott Matlock (Los Angeles Chargers) and Ezra Cleveland (Jacksonville Jaguars) will also meet Sunday. Rookie phenom Ashton Jeanty will lead the Raiders into a Monday Night Football showdown with the Dallas Cowboys to cap the action. Full Week 11 information is below. All times listed are Mountain.
SUNDAY
Washington Commanders (John Bates, Jeremy McNichols) at Miami Dolphins (Cedrick Wilson Jr.) – NFL Network, 7:30 a.m.
John Bates played a season-high 51 snaps in Washington's 44-22 loss to the Detroit Lions, tallying a 6-yard reception on the Commanders' first quarter scoring drive. He has a 68.8 Pro Football Focus run blocking grade, fourth among NFL tight ends who have over 150 blocking snaps. Jeremy McNichols ran the ball five times for 25 yards and added a 4-yard reception, giving him 301 yards from scrimmage this season. Cedrick Wilson Jr. played 15 offensive snaps and recovered an onside kick in the final minutes of Miami's 30-13 win over the Buffalo Bills. The Dolphins totaled a season-high 370 yards of offense in the victory.
Los Angeles Chargers (Scott Matlock) at Jacksonville Jaguars (Ezra Cleveland) – CBS, 11 a.m.
Scott Matlock contributed in all three phases of the Chargers' 25-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He totaled 33 snaps, helping Los Angeles gain 314 yards offensively and limit Pittsburgh to 221 yards. The Chargers are second in the AFC West at 7-3, ranking in the league's top 10 in total offense, passing offense, rushing offense, total defense, passing defense and scoring defense. Ezra Cleveland was inactive in Jacksonville's 36-29 loss to the Houston Texans. The Jaguars are second in the AFC South at 5-4.
Buffalo Bills (Khalil Shakir) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – CBS, 11 a.m.
Khalil Shakir led the Bills with seven receptions for 58 yards in their 30-13 loss to the Miami Dolphins. Shakir has a team-high 45 catches for 457 yards this season, helping Buffalo to second in the AFC East at 6-3. He leads NFL wide receivers in missed tackles forced (16) and ranks second in yards after catch (362). The Bills ranks second in the NFL in total offense, averaging 384.4 yards per game.
Seattle Seahawks (George Holani, DeMarcus Lawrence) at Los Angeles Rams – FOX, 2:05 p.m.
DeMarcus Lawrence and George Holani were dominant in Seattle's 44-22 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Lawrence became the fourth player in NFL history to score two fumble return touchdowns in a game, scoring on a 34-return on the Seahawks' first defensive possession and adding a 22-yard return in the second quarter. He finished the game with four tackles, 0.5 sacks, one tackle for loss and three quarterback hurries. He earned NFC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in his career, with the first coming in 2017 when he was with the Dallas Cowboys. The defensive end has four touchdowns and 65.5 sacks in his career. Holani ran the ball seven times for 31 yards, scoring his first career rushing touchdown on a 9-yard scamper in the first quarter. He added a solo tackle on kickoff coverage. This was the second time multiple Boise State products scored touchdowns in an NFL game and first time they did so as teammates. Lawrence was part of the first occasion, returning an interception 40 yards for the Dallas Cowboys in their 56-14 win over the Washington Football Team on Dec. 26, 2021. John Bates scored Washington's final touchdown, catching a 13-yard pass. Seattle is tied for the NFC's best record at 7-2, ranking in the league's top five in scoring offense (30.6 ppg) and scoring defense (19.1 ppg).
Denver Broncos (JL Skinner) vs. Kansas City Chiefs – CBS, 2:25 p.m.
JL Skinner was a special teams standout in Denver's 10-7 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He blocked a punt in the third quarter to set up a Bronco field goal that proved to be the deciding score. This was his first career blocked kick. He also made a solo tackle on punt coverage, giving him a 90.2 PFF special teams grade. This was tied for the highest in the league among players with 15+ special teams snaps in Week 10. Denver is tied for the NFL's best record at 8-2, ranking third in the league in scoring defense (17.3 ppg).
MONDAY
Las Vegas Raiders (Ashton Jeanty) vs. Dallas Cowboys – ABC/ESPN, 6:15 p.m.
Ashton Jeanty ran the ball 19 times for 60 yards and a touchdown while adding three catches for three yards in the Raiders' 10-7 loss to the Denver Broncos. His 4-yard touchdown in the first quarter was his seventh total touchdown of the season, tied for the most among NFL rookies. The running back is one of four players in the league with four rushing touchdowns and three receiving touchdowns this season.
