BOISE, Idaho — Boise State Overwatch 2 earned a decisive 3–0 victory over the University of Minnesota on Monday night, extending its strong start in Power Esports Conference play. The Broncos controlled nearly every map inside the Boise State Esports Arena, rarely conceding an objective throughout the match.
The series began on Control (Map 1), where Boise State established early dominance but had to fend off a late surge from the Golden Gophers to secure the opening round. The Broncos' composure and coordinated ult economy proved the difference, closing out the map to take a 1–0 lead.
On Map 2, Escort (Shambali Monastery), Boise State's attack looked sharp from the start. The Broncos pushed the payload to completion with more than a minute remaining, while Minnesota's offense was stopped short before capturing the first checkpoint. The efficient performance gave Boise State a commanding 2–0 series advantage.
Map 3, Push (Colosseo), brought the most back-and-forth action of the night. Both teams traded control of the bot multiple times, but Boise State's mid-fight coordination and support play carried the Broncos over the line. The 3–0 sweep capped a confident all-around performance that never truly felt in doubt.
With the win, Boise State continues to strengthen its case as a PEC contender and build momentum heading into the back half of the season.
