Boise, Idaho - A 2-1 victory over Syracuse kept the Broncos on top of the PEC, tightening their grip on the number one seed as Vegas approaches.Â
The starting roster included Marshall Hainer (Daimyo), Wyatt Morrison (Master), Griffin Applegate (Skelesis), Kosmos Sutter (Kos), and Peter Mittelbrun (Skies), while Austin Julian (Prestige) played sub.
Game 1 was on Bind, Syracuse's favorite map. Knowing this the Bronco's developed a few counter-strategies to the Orange's gameplan, but despite this Syracuse was able to win 13-4 score line. Though the score doesn't show it, each round was close. Game 2 went to Haven, and Prestige was substituted in for Daimyo. Prestige opened the game with 3 kills into the first round, breathing a second wind into the team. The Bronco's then led with a 10-2 half—a complete flip of the script, they ended up closing out the game 13-2.
Game 3 was on Abyss, a map that neither team prefers. The was close the entire way through, 8-4 at the half for the Bronco's and ultimately a 13-10 victory their way. Kos was finally freed from Viper prison as he was able to play Astra this map.
"Another example of this team's resilliantcy," said Head Coach Doc Haskell. "They continue to be on the hunt, and we are excited to see what we are able to do next!"
