Broncos Earn 10th-Straight Home Win

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State earned its 10th-straight home win with a 74-62 victory over Nevada, Wednesday afternoon.

Tatum Thompson paced the Broncos (10-4, 1-2 Mountain West) as she earned her third double-double of the season.

Dani Bayes opened the game with a jumper, but Nevada's (4-9, 0-3) Ahrray Young quickly answered with a 3-pointer to put the Wolf Pack on the board as well.

The first quarter remained close with six lead changes, though an 8-0 run allowed the Broncos to pull away. Boise State took a 21-15 lead after Keirra Thompson knocked down a second-chance three with 16 seconds remaining in the quarter. Bayes and Tatum Thompson paced the Broncos early, scoring nine and seven points, respectively.

Nevada opened the second quarter with a layup from Kendra Hicks before Boise State responded with a 6-0 run. The scoring came from three different Broncos, a jumper by Tatum Thompson, a free throw from Libby Hutton and a 3-pointer by Natalie Pasco.

The Broncos followed with another 6-0 run in a span of just 45 seconds. Tatum Thompson capped the first half with a jumper as time expired, sending Boise State into the locker room with a 41-30 lead. Thompson and Bayes led the Broncos at the break with 13 and 12 points, respectively, while Nevada's Gabby Ramos led the Wolf Pack with 12 points.

Mya Hansen started the third quarter scoring with a layup, followed by a 3-pointer from Pasco. Nevada answered with a 7-0 run, which was halted by a layup from Tatum Thompson. The Wolf Pack then put together another 7-0 run as the Broncos went more than four minutes without a field goal.

Nevada did not record its first field goal of the quarter until the 5:11 mark. Bayes then converted two-consecutive layups and Pasco later knocked down her fifth three-pointer of the game to maintain Boise State's lead.
