Lopez and Vulaj Take Home Event Titles

CEDAR CITY, Utah – Emily Lopez and Alyssa Vulaj highlighted No. 29 Boise State's performance against No. 21 Southern Utah as the Broncos lost, 196.900-196.300.
 
Lopez earned the beam title on the night, while Vulaj was named co-champion on vault.
 
The Broncos started off the meet strong on bars with a team score of 49.225. Five of the six performances recorded a score of a 9.800 or higher with junior Sydney Leitch leading the way with a career-high 9.875.
 
Vulaj paved the way for the Broncos' 48.875 on vault with a 9.875, earning her a share of the event title. She was followed by freshman Noelle Ball, who put up a career-high 9.825.
 
Boise State posted a 49.025 team score on floor. Vulaj and Elaina McGovern both scored a team-high 9.850 on the apparatus.
 
Lopez scored a 9.900 on beam to earn the event title, helping the Broncos tie their season-high 49.175 team score. Boise State posted five 9.800s or above on beam as well.
