
Broncos Drop Series Opener in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Boise State was bested by San Jose 3-1 in the opener of a three-game Mountain West softball series, Friday night.

The Broncos (30-18, 8-9 MW) were hitless through four innings before Megan Lake led off the fifth with a triple to left-center. Hollie Farmer followed with an RBI-squeeze for a 1-0 lead.

San Jose State (20-24, 7-10) answered with three runs, one of which was unearned, in the bottom of the frame to grab a 3-1 advantage.

The series continues, Saturday with first pitch at 3 p.m. PT/4 p.m. MT.
