Butt Among Nation's Best First Basemen

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State freshman Makenzie Butt is ranked ninth in this week's Softball America First Base Player Power Rankings.

Butt leads the Mountain West and NCAA freshmen in home runs (21), home runs per game (0.43), RBI (73) and RBI per game (1.49).

She is second nationally in RBI and RBI per game, tied for fifth in home runs and seventh in home runs per game.

A native of Fountain Valley, California, Butt is the 12th freshman in NCAA history to have at least 20 home runs and 70 RBI.
