
Boise State Softball Earns Academic Accolades

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State softball placed four student-athletes on the College Sports Communications Academic All-District teams.

Senior outfielders Mykenzie Hanna and Megan Lake, senior pitcher Brook Thompson and junior third baseman Hollie Farmer each earned the honor.

Hanna (3.54 cumulative GPA, psychology major) was All-Mountain West Second Team and NFCA All-Mountain Region Third Team. She is the first player outside of a power conference since 2015 to have at least 70 runs, 50 runs batted in, 50 walks/hit by pitches, 15 home runs and 10 stolen bases and was a member of the Mountain West Championship All-Tournament Team.

Lake (3.59, health studies) received All-Mountain West honorable mention. She was second on the team in batting average (.364) and doubles (10).

Thompson (3.70, psychology) led Boise State in wins (10) and strikeouts (62). She earned a spot on the Mountain West Championship All-Tournament Team by posting a 0.78 ERA in nine innings.

Farmer (3.74 business administration) appeared in 55 of Boise State's 56 games, including 49 starts. She was second on the team with 96 assists.
