
Bronco Trio Named to Mountain West Watch List

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Jillian Anderson, Cindy Conner and Kaitlyn Slocum were named to the 2025 Mountain West Women's Soccer Watch List, the conference announced Wednesday.

"We're excited about the depth, maturity and talent within the 2025 squad," said head coach Jim Thomas. "With a tough and creative spine Jillian Anderson, Cindy Conner and Kaitlyn Slocum will continue the high level of attacking football Bronco Nation has become accustomed to."

Anderson was named to the 2024 MW All-Newcomer Team after she recorded five goals and five assists in 22 matches as a freshman midfielder. The Allen, Texas native tied for first in program history for single-season assists (eight) and match-winning assists (five). Anderson tallied the game-winning goal against New Mexico and notched a goal in the MW Championship Final against nationally-ranked Utah State.

Conner made 17 starts during her sophomore campaign. The forward logged 1,089 minutes and tallied an assist in a 4-0 victory against UC Riverside (Aug. 29). She registered six shots on goal, including one in a 3-2 win over San Diego State in a MW Championship Semifinal.

Slocum appeared in all-22 matches, including 21 starts as a sophomore. The Meridian, Idaho native logged 1,763 minutes, including 13 full 90-minute matches. The defender/midfielder was on the field for all-180 minutes in two matches during the MW Championship.

In the conference preseason poll, Boise State was picked to finish second with 121 points. Utah State was selected to win the conference, receiving six first place votes and 128 points. Colorado State placed third with one first place vote.

San Diego State was slated fourth with one first place vote. Grand Canyon (93 points) and UNLV (87 points) were slotted into the fifth and sixth positions. The final two first place votes were given to New Mexico who is predicted to finish seventh. Wyoming (59 points), Nevada (55 points), Colorado College (54 points), Fresno State (50 points), Air Force (44 points), San Jose State (23 points) round out the conference.

Boise State will begin its season on Sunday, August 17, at Idaho State. The match will be held at Davis Field in Pocatello, Idaho and will begin at 7 p.m. MT. The Broncos will open up the home slate on August 28 against Montana. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Boas Soccer Complex.Â
