BOISE, Idaho – Boise State running back Dylan Riley was named the Old Trapper Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced. The sophomore recorded 255 all-purpose yards on 21 touches, scoring five touchdowns to lead Boise State to a 49-37 win at Air Force. Riley rushed for a career-high 171 yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries while adding 84 yards and a touchdown on two receptions.
Riley is the only player in program history to score four rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown in a game. He scored on runs of 4, 34, 8 and 43 yards and registered a 75-yard receiving score. He is the first FBS player to accomplish that feat this season and first MW player to do so since 2015.
With his 75-yard receiving touchdown, Riley joins Jeremy McNichols (2016) and Doug Martin (2010) as the only players in program history to score a 70+ yard touchdown rushing and receiving in the same season. In the home opener win against Eastern Washington, he ran for a 77-yard score. Behind Riley, the Broncos averaged 10.2 yards per offensive play, second-highest in the team's FBS era.
This honor comes nearly one year to the day of Riley's only MW Freshman of the Week honor, which he received Sept. 23, 2024 after totaling 109 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns against Portland State. He is the second Bronco to earn a conference award this season, with fellow running back Sire Gaines securing MW Freshman of the Week on Sept. 8.
