
Ava de Leest Captures a Pair of Conference Awards

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Freshman goalkeeper Ava de Leest was tabbed both Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week, the conference announced, Monday.

The Fullerton, Calif., native recorded back-to-back clean sheets in the opening weekend of MW play.

In a draw with Wyoming, de Leest made three saves. She added four more in a victory over Colorado State that earned the Broncos a share of first place in the Mountain West.

This is the first weekly award for de Leest. The last Bronco goalkeeper to earn a weekly award was Genevieve Crenshaw on Oct. 28, 2024.

Boise State will travel to Colorado Springs, Colo., to face Colorado College on Oct. 2. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. at Stewart Field.
