WHAT'S NEXT: The Boise State women's golf team will open its 2025 season at the Golfweek Fall Challenge in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. The Broncos finished seventh at the event last year.
THE FIELD: Boise State, Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Campbell, Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina, Delaware, East Carolina, East Tennessee, High Point, Lipscomb, Morehead State, North Carolina at Greensboro, North Carolina Wilmington, Old Dominion, Presbyterian College, South Carolina Upstate, Troy, Winthrop.
THE RETURN OF CHUNG: Leia Chung, a two-time Mountain West Women's Golfer of the Week and the program's all-time leader in career scoring average, returns after missing the 2024-25 season due to injury. The Wahiawa, Hawaii, native has recorded seven career top-10 finishes and will look to build on that total.
YEAR FIVE AT THE HELM: Head coach Kailin Downs returns for her fifth season leading the Broncos. Last year, she guided the team to the second-best scoring average in program history (296.74), and set school records for lowest 36-hole score (566, -10) and lowest 54-hole score (846, -18). Downs recently signed a two-year contract extension, keeping her with the program through the 2028 season.
ALL-CONFERENCE RETURNER: Junior Teal Matsueda earned All-Mountain West Second Team honors for the 2024-25 season, becoming the first Bronco since 2018-19 to receive all-conference recognition.
IN THE RECORD BOOK: Several returning players are featured prominently in the Boise State record book. Chung holds the second, fourth, and seventh-lowest individual 36-hole scores in program history while Brooke Patterson is tied for fifth and ninth. In career scoring average, Chung (73.25), Matsueda (73.45), and Jillian Hui (75.26) rank first, second, and fourth, respectively.
