FORT WORTH, Texas – The Boise State men's tennis team earned a 4-1 victory over UT Arlington on Friday at the ITA Kickoff Weekend, hosted by TCU.

The Broncos (1-2) jumped out to an early advantage over the Mavericks (0-2) by securing the doubles point. Taiyo Kurata and Julius Seifert set the tone with a dominant 6-0 win over Novak Ivanovic and Finbar McGarvey. Carson Baker and Avery Tallakson followed with a 7-5 victory against Axel Delva and Yazid Lahjomri to clinch doubles play.

In singles action, Lukas Velik was the first off the court, posting a 6-2, 6-3 win over Delva at the No. 5 position. Seifert extended Boise State's lead with a straight-sets 6-3, 6-2 victory over Ellison Minnaar at No. 4. UT Arlington got on the board when Ivanovic defeated Idriss Haddouch 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1, but Tallakson sealed the match for the Broncos with a 7-6(6), 6-4 win over Sa Berdullas Calvio.
