Boise, Idaho — Boise State continued its rise in the Power Esports Conference with a convincing 2–0 victory over Michigan State, solidifying its position near the top of the league standings. The Broncos controlled the rematch with the reigning PEC champions from start to finish, taking Haven 13–4 and Bind 13–6 in a performance defined by patience, structure, and defensive discipline.
The one-sided scorelines reflected a Boise State team that has continued to improve throughout the season, particularly in how it manages tempo and closes rounds.
Game 1 – Haven
Despite Haven being Michigan State's map pick, the Spartans were never allowed to settle. Boise State's defense set the tone early, stonewalling attacks and forcing Michigan State into rushed executes. The Broncos built an 11–1 halftime lead behind consistent individual plays and clean rotations.
Michigan State briefly found momentum after winning the pistol round, but it was quickly extinguished by a thrifty round from Boise State that reasserted control and pushed the score to its final 13–4.
Marshall Hainer anchored the defensive effort, finishing with 20 kills in just 17 rounds while posting 232.2 ADR. He repeatedly shut down multi-player pushes on his own, turning otherwise dangerous situations into round wins through composure and timing.
For Michigan State, Liam Mast stood out as the lone Spartan to finish with an even kill-death ratio, delivering a strong individual performance despite the result.
Game 2 – Bind
Bind opened with Michigan State striking first, jumping out to a 4–0 lead on defense. Boise State responded with poise, settling into a 6–1 run to take control heading into halftime.
From there, the Broncos never relinquished momentum. Their defensive setups limited Michigan State's options, and the match closed at 13–6.
Wyatt Morrison topped the scoreboard, matching an identical stat line with Peter Mittelbrun at 18 kills, 15 deaths, and four assists. The duo combined for nine first kills, consistently creating early advantages that Boise State converted cleanly.
Mast once again led the Spartans with 20 kills, using disciplined Operator positioning to disrupt Boise State's attacks. He accounted for six of Michigan State's seven first kills in the series.
