BOISE, Idaho – Boise State soccer fell to No. 17 Utah State, 1-0, Sunday afternoon. The loss snapped the Broncos' (11-1-2, 3-1-0 Pac-12) nine-game win streak, the longest in program history.

The match was a tale of two halves, with the Aggies (11-2-2, 4-0-0 Pac-12) controlling the opening 45 minutes and the Broncos owning the second. Utah State outshot Boise State 11-10, including a slight 4-3 advantage in shots on goal.

The Aggies recorded three shots on goals to the Broncos' zero in the opening frame. Boise State outshot Utah State 8-4 in the final second half, allowing only one shot on goal. Maddie Donovan, Mia Lane and Campbell Wilson each notched a shot on goal late in the contest, but were unable to convert.

Boise State responded by ramping up the aggression. Cindy Conner nearly found the back of the net in the 68th minute, with her shot attempt sailing just right of the goal post. Wilson had another opportunity off a free kick in the 87th minute that also barely missed right.

Boise State had a pair of corner kick opportunities in the final three minutes of action, but couldn't convert as Utah State left with the victory.

Quotables
"When you have these big moments and big opportunities, you want to be able to look yourself in the mirror and know you gave it your all. We couldn't say that after the first half but after that second half I think our group should be proud of themselves. We had a lot of opportunities to score and solved a lot of the problems we had in the first half." - head coach Jim Thomas

"We've played so well for so long. It's such a long season. That first half was a low moment for us but it won't define us. We have a wonderful team led by wonderful seniors. We'll use this to get better and be ready to go." - Thomas

What's Next
Boise State will remain in the Treasure Valley for a matchup against Oregon State on Oct. 17. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. MT and will be broadcast on the Pac-12's Youtube channel.
