Making 12 of the initial 20 shots from the floor and shooting 60 percent from the field, the Broncos pushed its lead to 20 with 7:51 remaining in the half. Buchanan and Fielder combined for 14 of the team's 30 points at that juncture and propelled Boise State to its largest lead of the period.

Nevada responded by scoring 15 of the next 20 points, cutting its deficit in half. Despite the Wolf Pack run, the Broncos maintained a double-digit lead and went into halftime ahead by 11.

To start the second half, Nevada scored four quick points to pull within seven, but Boise State promptly answered. The blue and orange pushed its lead back to 12 on a three by Buchanan and a pair of free throws by Andrews.

Not going away quietly, the Wolf Pack proceeded to make it a game. Nevada totaled 10-straight points in less than two minutes which cut Boise State's lead to five and forced a timeout.

With just under eight minutes left, the Wolf Pack completely erased the Broncos' lead and tied the contest at 60. Nevada went on to take its first lead of the night at the 7:27 mark on Comer's third three-pointer.

Seesawing back and forth, the game was nip and tuck down the stretch. For Boise State, it was Buchanan who came up big when the team needed it most.

Giving the Broncos a four-point lead, Buchanan poured in his second trip with 1:57 on the clock. He made four big free throws in the final minute but a floater by Comer before the buzzer sounder tied the game at 79 and sent the contest into overtime.
