Charley Duran Captures Conference Award

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State's Charley Duran has been named a Mountain West Co-Freshman of the Week, the conference announced, Monday.
 
Duran made four appearances in the circle, including one start, during Boise State's season-opening road trip.
 
A native of Placentia, California, the right-hander pitched three shutout innings of relief against No. 14 Mississippi to earn the victory.
 
At Cal State Fullerton, Duran went four-plus innings in her first-collegiate start and left with the lead. She reentered the game in the seventh inning and recorded the last six outs in an extra-inning win.
 
For the week, Duran was 2-0 with a 0.66 ERA and 1.12 WHIP over 10 2/3 innings.
