BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State women's tennis team earned a dominant 4-0 victory over No. 63 Grand Canyon on Friday afternoon in Boise.
 
After a 6-2 win from Stella Beldiman and Paula Schaefer at No. 2 doubles, and a 6-4 Grand Canyon victory on court three, the deciding doubles match moved to court one for the second consecutive match. Trailing 3-1, Boise State's (11-2) top duo of Tereza Polakova and Zdena Safarova rallied to force a tiebreak. The pair secured the doubles point with a 7-6 (4) win.
 
Boise State dominated in singles, winning each match in straight sets to clinch the sweep. Masa Viriant earned the first point, defeating Grand Canyon's (9-7) Hams Mewally, the defending Mountain West Freshman of the Week, 6-1, 6-2. Shortly after, Safarova picked up her sixth consecutive win at the No. 1 position with a 6-0, 6-4 victory. Allison Isaacs clinched the match, winning 6-2, 6-3 on court four.
