FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Hollie Farmer drove in a career-high five runs and Boise State defeated Colorado State 13-2 in six innings, Friday.

The Broncos (18-18, 4-3 Mountain West) broke up a 2-2 tie with a six-run third inning, all with two outs.

Farmer singled home two to put Boise State on top for good at 4-2. After Chloe Hughes walked to load the bases, an error by the Rams (15-17, 3-4) allowed two runs to score. A pair of fielder's choices plated two more runs and Boise State led 8-2.

In the sixth, the Broncos loaded the bases with one out and Farmer knocked in two with a double. Hughes followed with a two-run single. Two batters later, Skylar Stroh capped a five-run rally with an RBI-double.

Loula-Rae McNamara (7-1) pitched 2 2/3 innings in relief to earn the win. She did not allow a run or a hit, walked one and struck out three.

NOTES

Senior Hollie Farmer collected a career-high five RBI.
Junior Skylar Stroh recorded two RBI to raise her team-leading total to 32.
Freshman Loula-Rae McNamara picked up her third win to go along with two saves over her last five outings.
