Boise State Posts Multiple Season-Bests at No. 15 California

BERKELEY, Calif. – Boise State recorded season-highs on bars and beam on its way to a 195.925 team score, but the Broncos fell to No. 15 California, who posted a season-best 197.225.
 
The Broncos notched a season-high on bars for the third-straight meet, opening the competition with a 49.100. Sophomore Kristina Shchennikova led the way with a career-best 9.925, tying for second. Junior Mahleea Werline tallied a season-high 9.875, matching the top score of her career, while sophomore Noelle Ball equaled her season-best with a 9.825.
 
Boise State's vault lineup was consistent, earning a team score of 48.800, as sophomore Bridget Kemp, senior Sydney Kho, junior Julia Krzywanski and freshman Miraya Nero all recorded a 9.775 for the Blue and Orange. In the third rotation, the Broncos added a 48.875 on floor. All six competitors scored 9.750 or higher, led by fifth year Blake Pascal and Nero, who each posted a 9.800.
 
Boise State closed with a 49.150 on beam, its top score of the season. Freshman Sydnie Whipple led the group with a career-high 9.875, followed by senior Sydney Kho, who added a 9.850. Senior Brantley Lucas tallied a career-best 9.825, while freshman Isabella Delarosa and Shchennikova each posted a 9.800.

  • Kristina Shchennikova's 9.925 on bars marked a career-high, giving her Boise State's highest individual score in any event this season. It was the highest bars score since March 14, 2025, when Emily Lopez had a 9.925. This is the program's highest bars score at a non-home meet since Jan. 20, 2025, when Lopez registered a 9.925 at the Wasatch Classic in Salt Lake City.
