USAFA, Colo. – The Boise State women's tennis team earned a program-record eighth Mountain West victory, defeating Air Force 4-2 Friday afternoon in USAFA, Colorado.

The Broncos (16-3, 8-1 MW) picked up their first doubles win on court one as Tereza Polakova and Zdena Safarova defeated Abby Cotuna and Sofia Mavor 6-3. The Falcons (9-12, 6-3 MW) responded with wins at No. 2Â and No. 3 to take a 1-0 lead.

Boise State and Air Force went back and forth in the opening singles matches. Grignac put the Broncos on the board first with a win on court six, but Air Force regained a 2-1 lead by winning on court five. Allison Isaacs then tied the match at 2-2 with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Sofia Mavor at No. 4.

The Falcons took a 3-2 lead with a win at No. 2, but Masa Viriant responded with a 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 3. Zdena Safarova clinched the match, coming back from a first-set loss to win 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 on court one.
