BOISE, Idaho – Mya Flindt homered twice and had four RBI in Boise State's 6-5 loss to UNLV, Friday.

Flindt was one of three Broncos (20-27, 6-11 Mountain West) to collect three hits in the loss.

Kate Penberthy (3-for-4) doubled home a run in the third to give Boise State a 1-0 lead. UNLV (25-18, 12-5) responded with four runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth to surge in front 6-1.

Flindt homered with a runner aboard in the fifth and did it again in the seventh. Sophia Romero (3-for-4) singled after the second blast to put the tying run on base with one out, but the Broncos could not muster another hit.

NOTES

Mya Flindt recorded the first multi-home run game of her career…added career-high three hits…third four RBI game of her career, including second at Boise State.
Kate Penberthy is 10-for-15 (.667) with two doubles, four home runs and eight RBI in her last-five games.
Sophia Romero notched her second three-hit game of the season.
