Broncos Move up to No. 18 in AVCA Collegiate Beach Poll

4/21/2026 2:30:00 PM | Women's Beach Volleyball

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State beach volleyball reentered the AVCA Collegiate Beach Poll this week, coming in at No. 18. The ranking marks the highest the squad has been rated in program history.

The Broncos (19-13) earned the ranking after winning all four of their duals at the Alki Invitational in Seattle, Wash., last weekend to wrap up the regular season. Boise State defeated Oregon and Portland on Friday before taking down two ranked opponents, No. 15 Florida Atlantic and No. 19 Washington, on Saturday.

The Blue and Orange have recorded four victories over ranked foes this season, the most in a single year in program history. Prior to the 2026 campaign, Boise State had won four duals total over ranked opponents.

Boise State entered the poll for the first time in program history earlier this season and reached as high as No. 19 before dropping out last week.

In their first season of competition in the Big 12, the Broncos have fared well against a rigorous schedule. All six members of the league are ranked, with Florida State (No. 4), TCU (No. 9), Arizona State (No. 12), South Carolina (No. 15) and Arizona (No. 20) all represented. All but one of Boise State's losses have come at the hands of a team represented in the poll.

The Broncos will head to Tucson, Ariz., for the Big 12 Beach Volleyball Championship presented by Allstate, having won 10 of their last 12 contests. The two-day event will start with pool play on Thursday, April 23, with Boise State facing off against Florida State at 10 a.m. MT and South Carolina at 12:30 p.m. MT. The event will conclude with a single-elimination tournament on Friday. All duals will be streamed on ESPN+.
