BOISE, Idaho – Boise State scored five times in the third inning to back solid pitching by Kodi Crabtree in a 7-5 win over San Jose State, Friday.

Skylar Stroh, who finished a home run shy of a cycle, started the scoring with a one-out, RBI-triple. Kate Penberthy followed with a run-scoring single and the Broncos (24-30, 10-14 Mountain West) led 2-0.

After Mya Flindt walked, Marissa Gonzalez plated Penberthy with a single and Flindt came home on an error. Gonzalez then scored on a wild pitch to cap the rally.

Crabtree (2-1) held the Spartans (15-31, 7-17) to two runs on four hits over five innings to earn the victory.
