Beach Unveils 2026 Fall Schedule

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Beach Volleyball head coach Alex Venardos announced the 2026 fall schedule on Thursday.
The Broncos' fall schedule consists of four pairs tournaments and an opportunity to compete in the AVCA Nationals Pairs Championship.

Boise State, who already earned a bid to the AVCA National Pairs Championship based upon last year's results, will open its fall campaign with two opportunities to earn a second bid. The program will open the season on Oct. 3-4 at the Alki AVCA Qualifier in Seattle, Wash. Three weeks later, the Broncos will head to Huntington Beach, Calif., for the Surf City Collegiate Challenge (Oct. 24-25).

The Blue and Orange will then send at least one pair to the national championship, held in Huntsville, Ala., from Nov. 6-8. The program has had two pairs – the maximum allotment allowed – compete at the event in each of the past two seasons.
During the national event, the remainder of the team will head to Phoenix, Ariz., for the Grand Canyon Pairs Tournament, which will take place from Nov. 7-8.

Boise State will wrap up its fall season at the Kaua'i College Volleyball Invitational in Lihue, Hawaii. The three-day event will begin Friday, Nov. 20.

The 2026-27 season marks the fifth consecutive year the NCAA has permitted teams to utilize the fall season for competition. Per NCAA rules, competition in the fall will consist of pairs tournaments while the spring season will undergo the traditional dual format.

The Broncos, who will be competing in the Big 12 for the second-straight season, will have no Big 12 obligations during the fall.

Venardos enters his second season at the helm of the program. Last year, the squad went 20-16 and entered the AVCA Collegiate Beach Rankings for the first time in program history.
