OGDEN, Utah – Boise State soccer earned a 4-1 victory over Weber State, Sunday night.

The Broncos (2-0-0) remain undefeated as they hand the Wildcats their first loss of the season (0-1-1).

Jillian Anderson opened the scoring early for the Broncos, finding the back of the net on a free kick just outside the box. Her shot deflected off the left post and into the goal.

Weber State responded in the 31st minute when Sayler Schlosser scored to level the match at 1-1. However, Boise State regained the lead in the 36th minute. Elyse McGinnis finished a cross from Olivia Collins to put the Broncos ahead 2-1 heading into halftime.

The Broncos added to their advantage shortly after the break, with Sophie Schmautz scoring in the 47th minute off an assist from Campbell Wilson. Wilson then capped the scoring in the 81st minute, firing a shot into the net after receiving a pass from Cindy Conner.

Campbell Wilson became the first Boise State freshman to score in back-to-back matches since Aubree Chatterton in 2017.

Boise State has scored seven goals through its first two matches, its most to open a season since 2008.
