WHAT'S NEXT
Boise State volleyball opens the 2026 campaign on the road at the Bulldog Invitational in Asheville, N.C., where it will face Middle Tennessee and UNC Asheville.

THE SCHEDULE
The Broncos will open the invitational with a doubleheader on Friday, Aug. 28, starting at 10 a.m. MT against Middle Tennessee, followed by a match against the host school, UNC Asheville, at 4 p.m. MT. The Blue and Orange will face Middle Tennessee for a second time on Aug. 29 10 a.m. MT.

HOW TO FOLLOW THE ACTION
The match against UNC Asheville will be streamed on ESPN+ and all contests will feature live scoring.

BOISE STATE VERSUS THE FIELD
Friday's contest against Middle Tennessee will be the second time the two meet at a neutral site in program history. The Broncos defeated the Blue Raiders in 2019 at the Thunderbird Classic in Cedar City, Utah. On Saturday, the Broncos will face the tournament host, UNC Asheville, for the first time.

SCOUTING OUT THE OPPONENTS
Middle Tennessee posted a 11-17 record in the 2025 season and a 3-13 record in conference play. UNC Asheville recorded a 12-18 season in 2025 and a 7-7 conference record. The Bulldogs made it to the Big South Conference Championship, but fell to High Point 0-3.

SEASON-OPENER SUCCESS
Under head coach Shawn Garus, Boise State is 26-21 in season openers following the 3-2 win against Navy last season. The Broncos are 14-16 when opening on the road at both away and neutral site matches under head coach Shawn Garus.

THE WINNING WAY
The Blue and Orange recorded a 20-11 record in 2025, setting their 10th winning season in the last 11 campaigns under head coach Shawn Garus.

PAC-12 PRESEASON
Melia Barlow, Sydney Dreves and Tehya Maeva have all been named to the Preseason Pac-12 Impact List. As voted on by the league's head coaches, Boise State was ranked number four on the 2026 Pac-12 predicted order of finish.

CHASING 300
Boise State head coach Shawn Garus earned his 400th career win as a head coach during the 2025 season. Garus currently holds a record of 298-209 in his 18th year at Boise State and 418-329 in his 25 years as a collegiate head coach.

WHAT'S BACK
Boise State returns five Broncos from the 2025 season which includes Dreves (OH), Kendall Hastings (MB), Hallee Heath (MB), Giselle Paedon (OH) and Reese Weinert (MB).

WHAT'S NEW
The Broncos added nine newcomers, including four transfers and five true freshmen. The transfers include Barlow (L, Northern Arizona), Athena Cox (MB, Cal Baptist), Amelia Hansen (OH, SMU), and Maeva (S, Syracuse). The freshmen include Reese Hone (L/DS, Idaho Falls, Idaho), Jenelle Legates (S, Los Altos, Calif.), Savannah Sheridan (OH, Temecula, Calif.) and Azlynn Tittmann (OH, Corrales, N.M.).
