The Broncos open conference play on the road at Utah State
BOISE, Idaho — In conjunction with the Pac-12, Boise State's 2027 conference schedule was released on Wednesday.
Entering its first season as members of the Pac-12, Boise State will play 16 conference games (8 home, 8 road) from January to early March. In program history, the Broncos have accumulated 115 wins over current conference opponents and have a winning record against four teams.
Opening conference play on the road, Boise State is slated to play Utah State on Jan. 6 at Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. Dating back to 1974, the Broncos have played the Aggies 63 times, including 28 on the road.
Following Boise State's conference opener, the team returns to ExtraMile Arena for back-to-back home games against Oregon State and Washington State on Jan. 9 and Jan. 13, respectively. The Broncos last played the Beavers in 2004 but have gone head-to-head with the Cougars on a neutral court in four of the last five seasons.
For the first time since Dec. 1, 1999, Boise State hits the road to play Gonzaga and will do so at McCarthey Athletic Center on Jan. 16. All-time, the Broncos have played 34 games against the Bulldogs and are 18-16 (.529) in those contests.
In the second of back-to-back road games, Boise State is slated to play Fresno State at Save Mart Center on Jan. 20. Since Dec. 28, 2021, the Broncos have won eight-consecutive games against the Bulldogs and have been victorious in their last five road contests in Fresno.
On Jan. 20 and Jan. 27, Boise State will host Utah State and San Diego State. With a winning record at home against both programs, the Broncos have posted a 26-17 (.605) mark in 43 games versus the Aggies and Aztecs.
For the first time in more than 40 years, Boise State will play Texas State on Jan. 30 at Strahan Arena in San Marcos, Texas. The last time the two teams played, the Broncos defeated the Bobcats, 82-53, on Dec. 19, 1986.
Wrapping the season series, Boise State travels to Corvallis, Oregon on Feb. 4 to play Oregon State. Having previously played four times on the road, the Broncos are seeking their second victory against the Beavers away from ExtraMile Arena.
With three of the next four games at home, Boise State begins the stretch by playing Gonzaga at ExtraMile Arena on Feb. 10. Sporting a 13-3 (.813) record at home against the Bulldogs, the Broncos last hosted the team on Dec. 9, 2000.
Feb. 13 and Feb. 18 feature a home game against Fresno State and a road tilt at Colorado State. With over 90 games played against the two teams combined, the Broncos have amassed a 52-40 (.565) record against the Bulldogs and Rams.
Boise State's final four games include two at home and two on the road. For the first time in team history, the Broncos will host Texas State at ExtraMile Arena on Feb. 20.
To close February, Boise State heads to Pullman, Washington to play Washington State at Beasley Coliseum on Feb. 25. The last time the Broncos played the Cougars in a true road game was Nov. 25, 2006.
Boise State's penultimate contest is a head-to-head matchup against Colorado State on March 3 in the final home game of the season. The Broncos last regular season game is a showdown versus San Diego State at Viejas Arena on March 6.
As members of the Mountain West for 15 years, Boise State posted a 181-114 (.614) record in conference play. The Broncos have won double-digit conference games 12 times under the direction and leadership of head coach Leon Rice.
