2019-20 | SENIOR SEASON
HONORS: All-Mountain West Singles.OVERALL: Posted a 17-8 record overall in singles…was tied for second on the team with 17 overall singles wins…was 8-11 in doubles play on the year.
FALL SINGLES: Posting a 7-4 record … DeMulling went 3-1 at the Dar Walters Fall Classic with an impressive victory over Utah States Felipe Acosta (6-1, 2-6, 6-3), the number one player in that tournament. Reached the semifinals at the Idaho State invitational defeating Ludvig Hallgren from Montana (6-4, 6-7 (2), 1-0 (10-5)). Also reached the semifinals of the Oregon Duck Invitational (Nov. 1-3) after defeating Portland’s Sema Pankin (3-6, 6-1, 6-3).
FALL DOUBLES: Combined 6-6 record with three different partners … while paired with Simon Arca Costas the two held a 2-2 record including a visit to the finals of the Dar Walters Fall Classic.
SPRING SINGLES: Finished the spring with a record of 9-3 in singles…primarily played as the third and fourth seed for Boise State, going a combined 7-3…was 2-0 at the No. 2 position…owned the team’s top spring singles record…defeated Washington’s Thibault Cancel 6-1, 6-1 in the last match of the season on court three (March 8).
SPRING DOUBLES: Went 1-4 in spring doubles…split time at the No. 2 and 3 positions ... remainder of season canceled March 12 due to coronavirus pandemic.
2018-19 | JUNIOR SEASON
OVERALL: Finished junior season at 23-10 in singles, one of two Broncos to hit 20-plus wins ... went 6-14 in doubles.FALL SINGLES: Recorded a 10-7 record in fall tournaments ... went 2-2 at Arizona Wildcat Invitational (Sept. 21-23) ... won the Dar Walters Fall Classic’s (Oct. 5-7) top flight going 5-0 defeating Portland State’s Matteo Fortini (3-6, 6-1, 6-2) in the semifinals, then Gonzaga’s Rudhan O’Sullivan in straight sets (6-3, 6-4) for the title ... advanced to the ITA Mountain Regional’s (Oct. 15-17) quarterfinals with wins over Mitchell Johnson (6-1, 6-2) and Agustin Tamagnone (6-1, 6-2), both from Southern Utah.
FALL DOUBLES: Tallied a 3-6 doubles record in the fall campaign ... went 2-2 at Dar Walters Fall Classic reaching the quarterfinals with partner Ryland McDermott by defeating Air Force’s James Scotty and Jordan Azuma (6-3), followed by a 6-1 victory over Seattle’s Alex Chan and Trenton Nield.
SPRING SINGLES: Earned an impressive 13-3 mark in spring duals splitting time between courts 3-6, went 6-1 at No. 5 ... opened spring campaign going 10-1 in matches that were completed ... notable wins in spring semester came over Montana State’s Joaquin Espinoza (6-0, 6-4) in the opener, Idaho State’s Gary Rendek (6-1, 6-3) and Idaho’s Lucas Coutinho (6-4, 7-5) ... picked up Mountain West wins over UNLV’s Milos Dabic (6-2, 6-4), New Mexico’s Facundo Bermejo (6-4, 6-4), Air Force’s Paul Hendrix (6-1, 6-2) and Fresno State’s Jeremy Moser (7-5, 6-1).
SPRING DOUBLES: Went 3-8 in spring matches splitting playing time between Max Blancaneaux (1-0), Stefan Lalovic (1-4) and Simon Stenlund (1-5).
2017-18 | SOPHOMORE SEASON
OVERALL: Transferred to Boise State in January from Irvine Valley College (JC) ... went 11-15 in singles playing between courts 2-5 ... went 3-8 in doubles matches ... did not play collegiately during the fall semester.SPRING SINGLES: Debuted for Boise State at the National Collegiate Tennis Championships (Jan. 12-14) going 1-3 ... saw action in 28 team duals going 10-12 overall with six unfinished ... notable nonconference wins came against San Francisco’s Marco Barretto (6-3, 6-4), BYU’s John Pearce (2-6, 7-6(4), 6-3) and Pepperdine’s Max Mendelsohn (6-4, 6-1) ... Mountain West victories came over Nevada’s Jeremy Merville (6-2, 6-3) and New Mexico’s Jorge Escutia (2-6, 6-2, 6-1).
SPRING DOUBLES: Played in 14 dual matches recording a 3-8 record while going 6-11 overall ... played mainly with Mattia Bedolo going 4-7 overall as a team.
2016-17 | FRESHMAN SEASON AT IRVINE VALLEY
HONORS: ITA CCCAA All-American in singles and doubles ... Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Co-Doubles Team of the Year, ITA CCCAA Rookie of the Year.SINGLES: Played for Irvine Valley College (Calif.) where he finished the year ranked fifth in singles by the ITA/CCCAA ... helped IVC to the CCCAA State Team Championship with a 6-1, 6-1 singles victory over American River’s Cody Duong to move the Lasers within one point of the win up 4-1 ... he advanced to the CCCAA State Singles Championship Tournament where he was seeded third, reached the quarterfinals with three-consecutive straight-set victories beginning with Tristan Shaw of San Diego Mesa 6-0, 6-1 in the round of 64, Andy Vang from American River 6-0, 6-1 in the round of 32 and Bruno Duarte of Cerritos 6-1, 6-3 to advance into the quarterfinals where he fell in a classic battle 7-6(4), 7-5 ... helped lead the Irvine Valley College Lasers to its third-straight CCCAA State Team Championship, third-straight Southern California Region Championship, fourth-consecutive Orange Empire Conference title and the program’s first undefeated campaign at 19-0 to extend the Lasers’ win streak to 35 straight ... the team finished ranked No. 1 in the final ITA/CCCAA rankings.
DOUBLES: Finished year ranked fifth by the final ITA/CCCAA ... while paired with Chris Politiek, he went 3-1 at the CCCAA Doubles State Championship to advance to the quarterfinals where he lost to future Boise State teammate Maximilien Blancaneaux and his partner 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-5) ... DeMulling and his doubles partner Politiek went undefeated during the year until their loss in the CCCAA State quarterfinals.
