HONORS: Academic All-Mountain West.
OVERALL: Tallied a 13-15 overall singles on the year and 22-16 in doubles ... went 5-7 in singles during fall tournaments and 8-8 in spring duals playing primarily at the three lower tiered positions ... in doubles he played nearly the entire year with Stefan Lalovic going a team-best 20-14 ... went 11-6 in the fall and 11-10 in spring duals.
FALL HIGHLIGHTS: Played in three fall tournaments going a combined 5-7 in singles and 10-5 in doubles ... in singles play defeated Utah’s Santiago Sierra 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 at ITA Mountain Regional (Oct. 18-22) in Provo, Utah ... won 6-3, 6-1 over Utah’s Randy Cory (Nov. 5) at the Gopher Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn. ... in doubles play teamed up with Stefan Lalovic going 4-1 to win the consolation title at the Idaho State Bank of Commerce Invitational (Sept. 28-30) ... after dropping opening match at the ITA Mountain Regional (Oct. 18-22) in Provo, Utah, the duo reached the consolation semifinals recording three straight wins over Northern Arizona’s Fisher/Taylor 8-5, Air Force’s Garcia/McKendree 8-5 and Air Force’s Bautista/Hendrix 8-3 to advance ... went 3-1 at the Gopher Invitational at Minneapolis (Nov. 3-5) among the wins was a 6-4 win over Notre Dame’s Griffin/Gota and a 6-3 victory versus Wisconsin’s Mackenzie/Sweet.
SPRING HIGHLIGHTS: In singles play - Won five straight matches mid-season starting with a straight set 6-1, 6-1 victory over Rice’s (Feb. 24) Ashton Duke ... rallied from one set down to beat UC Davis’ (March 1) Arjith Jayaraman 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 to clinch a 4-3 Boise State victory ... downed Villanova’s (March 4) Tommy Mulfur in two sets 6-1, 6-2 in a 4-3 Bronco win ... dispatched Pepperdine’s (March 9) Scotland Garapedian 6-0, 6-2 in 4-1 team road win ... knocked off UC Santa Barbara’s (March 11) Ajai Shekhera 6-1, 6-0 ... collected the first of two conference wins over Nevada’s (April 8) Jonathan Aremon 6-0, 6-2 ... downed New Mexico’s (April 15) Stepan Holis 6-4, 6-0. In doubles play while paired with Lalovic - defeated Northwestern’s (Jan. 21) No. 2 team of Nick Brookes and Antonioni Fasano 6-3 ... beat UC Davis’ (March 1) David Goulak and Tommy Lam 6-3 on court two in 4-3 Boise State win ... recorded a Mountain West win 6-4 on court two over San Diego State’s (March 29) Jan Kirchhoff and Raul de la Torre in 4-1 Bronco win ... beat UNLV’s (April 1) Clayton Alenik and Eric Samuelsson 6-1 in a 4-1 league victory for Boise State ... downed New Mexico’s (April 15) Dominic West and Sean Baklini 6-3 ... closed season with a 6-3 victory over Utah State’s (April 26) Valdemar Holm and Andrew Nakajima in Mountain West quarterfinals.
2016-17 | SOPHOMORE SEASON
HONORS: Academic All-Mountain West.
OVERALL: As a sophomore went 7-24 overall in singles and went 5-19 at No. 4 singles during spring, 2-4 in Mountain West contests ... went 11-24 overall in doubles matches and 5-15 in spring duals.
FALL HIGHLIGHTS: Competed in two fall tournaments the Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational (Sept. 16-18) at Midland, Texas, and ITA Mountain Region Championships (Oct. 19-23) at Las Vegas, Nev., where he won his opening match 6-4, 6-2 over Utah State’s Dan Echeverry ... went 2-3 in doubles during the fall recording wins with Harvey Shackleton at the Racquet Club Collegiate (Sept. 16) and with Greg Wischer at the ITA regional (Oct. 20).
SPRING HIGHLIGHTS: Played in 29 duals during the spring semester going 6-19 overall and 5-19 in singles while playing on court four ... recorded conference victories over San Diego State’s (March 5) Santiago Cevallos 6-2, 7-5 and UNLV’s (March 21) Evaldo Neto 6-4, 7-5 ... in doubles play he competed primarily with Greg Wischer going 2-12 as a team splitting time on courts two and three.
2015-16 | FRESHMAN SEASON
OVERALL: Joined the team during the winter break ... tallied a 12-10 singles record during team duals playing primarily at No. 5 where he was 9-9 ... went 11-11 overall in doubles playing with three different partners.
SPRING HIGHLIGHTS: First action in the blue and orange was in the season opener against Grand Canyon (Jan. 16) when he defeated Adrian Legarreta 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 at No. 5 singles, also paired with Greg Wischer for a 6-2 win over GCU’s No. 3 doubles team ... recorded singles victories over Indiana’s Afonso Salado (Feb. 20) in straight sets 6-1, 6-1, Auburn’s Joseph Van Dooren (Feb. 27) 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 and Michigan State’s Alexander Kim (March 12) 6-4, 6-1 ... in doubles he went 11-10 in team duals playing primarily at No. 3 with Brian Foley going 7-9 as a duo, went 2-0 with Wischer and 2-2 with Abe Hewko.
JUNIOR TENNIS
A native of Sao Paulo, Brazil ... a singles quarterfinalist and a doubles semifinalist at the 2014 International Tennis Federation’s (ITF) Junior Panama Bowl ... part of the doubles team that won the 2014 ITF Junior Copa Universidad Galileo title in Guatemala City, Guatemala ... a staple on the International Futures Circuit reaching the doubles quarterfinals or better in more than 10 tournaments between 2013 and 2014.
