HIGH SCHOOL CAREER
Three-year letterwinner under coach Tim Coubler at Republic High school and Steve Glassey at Santiago High School in California...wrestled his way to a state championship his freshman year at 130 pounds...followed the title run with a second-place finish at the state tournament during his sophomore season...as a junior he earned his second state championship, this time at 149 pounds...two-time winner of the Tri-State tournament, pitting the best wrestlers of Washington, Oregon and Idaho against each other...as a senior, earned third-place finishes at both the Super 32 Tournament and the Reno Tournament of Champions at 171 pounds.
