Marshawn Friloux
Marshawn Friloux joined the Boise State staff in May 2023 as a graduate assistant, primarily working with the wide receivers.

Friloux came to the City of Trees following two stints as a graduate assistant, first at Bethune-Cookman and then at Minot State.

He spent the 2022 season as running backs coach at Lincoln (Calif.) University, coaching in what was just the second year of the football program’s history.  That followed a short stint as running backs coach at Poly (Calif.) High School.

Friloux was the running backs coach in 2019 at St. John Bosco (Calif.) High School – the same program that produced Bronco great George Holani – as he helped lead the program to a No. 1 national ranking and the open division state championship thanks to his stable accumulating 2,344 yards in 12 games and a 6.5 average per carry clip. That followed a league championship season in 2018 as the running backs coach at El Camino College as the team garnered an 8-3 record and an appearance in the state playoffs for the first time in seven years.

He got his coaching start at Bellflower (Calif.) High School where, over three seasons, Friloux served in various roles at his alma mater including strength and conditioning coordinator (2015-16), running backs coach (2015-17) and assistant head coach/offensive coordinator (2017).

Friloux was a two-year team captain (2008-09) at Cerritos College and then played two years at Southern Oregon (2010-11). He is a 2010 graduate of Cerritos College as he earned his Associate of Arts degree and then obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from Southern Oregon in 2017. He is currently a member of the Master of Athletic Leadership program at Boise State, where he is expected to graduate in 2024.
