Why did you choose Boise State?
I chose Boise State because the coaches here were so passionate and sincere about wanting me in their program. For the first time in my life, I felt that someone had my best overall interest in mind in terms of academics and post-graduate success. The coaches, players and faculty were so professional and more like family.
How did Boise State impact your life?
It absolutely had an impact on my life…having lived in places like San Francisco and Alabama, Idaho definitely added a different complexion to the mix. It gave me a unique and important opportunity to learn more about myself as well as others in a totally different environment. I started seeing the world and my surroundings from a bigger-picture concept. As a result, I am a more confident person, well-rounded and a much better communicator.
What are your best memories of your time at Boise State?
The Boise State experience was one of the best life experiences. Those special friendships and relationships are so golden, I will always cherish them. It was an honor to be vice president of the Black Student Union my freshman year. It was so much fun to be a part of the cultural and musical experience in Boise. To be a part of the Martin Luther King march from BSU to the State Capitol. The number one memory was seeing Mr. Barack Obama pack the Boise State arena.
