Lifelong relationships with teammates that exist to this day. Met my girlfriend, got married and we had two kids that were born in Boise.

- NABC District 21 Coach of the Year (2009)

- SEC Coach of the Year (2009)
- Naismith National Coach of the Year runner-up (2009)
- Nevada Athletics Hall of Fame (2013)
- Franklin High School Hall of Fame (2016)
- Reached the NCAA Tournament eight times as a head coach:Â Nevada (2003, 2004), Stanford (2005-2008), LSU (2009, 2012); included were two trips to the Sweet Sixteen: Nevada (2004) and LSU (2009)
- Assistant basketball coach at Boise High School; 1986 state champions
