Kelsey Messer was named Boise State Spirit Squad head coach in May 2019.
Messer runs and maintains Boise State's cheer, dance and mascot programs through recruiting, teaching, choreographing, scheduling, budgeting, fundraising and selecting equipment. She and the team strive to be active in the community, helping promote Bronco Athletics throughout the Treasure Valley.
A member of the Boise State cheer squad as an undergraduate, Messer spent eight years with the program, including four as volunteer assistant coach (2016-19).
