2018-19: INDOOR- Appeared in the 400m while also running the second leg of Boise State’s winning 4x400 relay at the Jackson’s Open (Dec. 8) . . . ran the second leg of Boise State’s second place 4x400 relay team, while also running 50.93 in the 400m at the Bronco Invitational (Jan. 12) . . . competed in both the 200m (23.47) and 400m (52.95) at the Ed Jacoby Invitational and Multis (Jan. 18-19) . . . ran 51.84 in the 400m at the New Mexico Team Invite (Jan. 26) . . . ran 51.08 in the 400m at the Jacksons/Nike Boise Indoor Invite (Feb. 1-2) . . . competed in both the 200m and 400m at the Bronco Challenge (Feb. 9) . . . OUTDOOR- Made five appearances in his final season . . . appeared in the 400m hurdles at the NNU Invite, taking fourth (March 22-23) . . . set a new personal best of 57.42 in the 400m hurdles, while also running 52.21 in the 400m at the Stanford Invitational (March 29-30) . . . ran a personal best of 56.73 in the 400m hurdles at the Border Clash (April 26-27) . . . competed in the long hurdles at the Mountain West Championship (May 8-11).
2017-18: INDOOR- Raced the 800m at the Mountain West Championship (Feb. 22-24) . . . ran in the 800m race and the first leg of the 4x400m race at the 2018 Boise State Challenge (Feb. 10) . . . ran 2:02.21 for 800m at the Jacksons Nike Boise Indoor Invite (Feb. 2-3) . . . competed in the 800m at the Jacksons Open (Dec. 9) and Ed Jacoby Invitational (Jan. 12-13). Best finish was fifth in a personal best 2:01.42 at the Ed Jacoby Invitational . . . ran 1:22.22 for 600m at the Bronco Invitational (Jan. 20) . . . OUTDOOR- Saw action four times on the season . . . opened the year by running 51.48 and 50.51 for the 400m at the Stanford Invitational and San Francisco State Distance Carnival (March 30-31) . . . ran 51.22 for 400m at the Sun Angel Classic (April 5-7) . . . ran 23.19 for 200m at the Bryan Clay Invitational, while also running the 400m and 4x400 (April 19-20).
2016-17: INDOOR – Continued to hone his focus on the 400m over the course of the indoor season…was fifth in the 400m (51.82) at the Jacksons Open in the season opener…also helped the 4x400m relay team run a 3:21.45 that same weekend to take first…ran a 51.41 to take sixth at the Ed Jacoby Invitational…ran a leg for the winning 4x400m team (3:19.25) at the Bronco Invitational and was also sixth in the 600m (1:23.89)…helped the distance medley relay team post a 10:19.76 to claim second at the Jacksons/NB Indoor Invitational…sixth in the 200m (23.17) at the Boise State Challenge…ran a leg on the DMR (10:14.24) to assist in a fifth-place performance as well as running a leg on the 4x4 (3:14.31) to secure fourth at the Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships…OUTDOOR – Ran a 50.80 to open the outdoor slate at the Stanford Invitational…posted a 23.13 to take 20th in the 200m at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival…ran his career-best 200m (22.95) a week later at the Sun Angel Classic…also recorded his 400m PR that same weekend, crossing the finish line in 49.50…competed at both the Beach Invitational (50.08) and the Mt. SAC Relays (51.59)…ran a 50.28 in the 400m at the conference championships to take ninth.
2015-16: INDOOR – Specialized in mainly the 400m in his first indoor season, competed in six meets…helped the 4x400m relay team take fifth (3:16.60) at the Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships…started the season at the Jacksons Open and clocked a 1:09.52 in the 500m…eighth in the 400m at the Ed Jacoby Invite with a time of 51.79…ran in the 200m (23.35) and the 400m (50.98) at the Bronco Invite…clocked a 51.91 in the 400m at the Jacksons/NB Invitational…fifth in the 400m (51.25) at the Boise State Challenge...OUTDOOR – Specialized in the 400m hurdles in his first outdoor season, competed in four meets…PR’d at the Oregon Relays after running a 58.54 for 15th place…was 19th at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival, clocking a 59.02…ran a 59.56 at the Border Clash…opened the year at the Stanford Invitational (1:00.13).
Cameron Wrout comes to Boise after enjoying a three-sport career – football, basketball and track and field – while competing at Rio Mesa High School. A 400m specialist, Wrout helped his 4x400m relay team to a sixth-place finish at the California Track and Field State Championships earlier this summer.
