A former volunteer coach with the Broncos, Scott Murray enters his first season as a graduate assistant on the coaching staff in 2018-19. Murray, who spent the outdoor season as a volunteer coach working with Boise State’s throwers, will continue to work with the Broncos’ throwers in his new role.

Despite joining the program in March of 2018, Murray had an immediate impact on Boise State's throwers. On the women’s side, Kendra Noneman and freshman Liz Gaffney scored a combined five points at the Mountain West Championships in the hammer throw and javelin throw, respectively. Sophomore Emily Stiles also threw a West Preliminary qualifier in the javelin, but was unable to compete due to injury.

Drew Lindlsey set a career best in the hammer throw on the season, while also finishing ninth in both the hammer throw and discus to just miss scoring at the conference championship.

A two-time team captain at the University of Maine, Murray earn all-conference honors in the hammer in both 2016 and 2017, while qualifying for the New England Championships in both the hammer throw and shot put.
