Weatherspoon Earns Mountain West Honor for Second Consecutive Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Raekwon Weatherspoon has been named the Mountain West Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week following a record performance at the Texas A&M 44 Farms Invitational.

After recording the fourth-best long jump mark in school history on April 4, Weatherspoon improved his mark by 0.11 meters, tying Boise State's all-time record with a leap of 7.89 meters. He is the first Bronco to earn back-to-back MW Field Athlete of the Week honors and the first in the conference since Texas Tanner on May 6 and May 13, 2025.

Weatherspoon's mark of 7.89 meters is the best in the MW this season by 0.38 meters and is tied for seventh nationally.

The Boise State track and field team returns to competition this weekend in Azusa, California, at the Bryan Clay Invitational, April 16-18.
