BOISE STATE CAREER
SOPHOMORE (2015-16): Reached the NCAA Championships for the second time in as many seasons, earning All-America status and capturing a second-straight Pac-12 Championship...first Bronco wrestler to win Pac-12 titles as both a freshman and sophomore…made the move to 149 pounds, where he started each of the team’s 12 duals…was 32-8 on the season, including a 10-2 mark in duals…of his eight losses, seven came to ranked opponents…also defeated four ranked individuals, including two in the finals of separate tournaments…picked up 10 bonus-point victories, including five major decisions, a technical fall and four pins…went 4-3 at the NCAA Tournament (Match 17-19), with his second-round loss to Michigan's Alec Pantaleo halting an 18-match winning streak dating back to Dec. 5, also to Pantaleo at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational...defeated Nebraska's Jake Sueflohn, seeded No. 7, in the Blood Round, earning his first All-America accolade and the 31st in Boise State history...ultimately finished eighth at the national tournament...captured the Pac-12 Championship (Feb. 27) with a win over 13th-ranked Matt Kraus of Arizona State (3-1)…won his opening match of the tournament via major decision over CSU Bakersfield’s Coleman Hammond (9-1)…knocked off eighth-ranked Colin Heffernan of Central Michigan in the championship match of the Reno Tournament of Champions (Dec. 20)…was a perfect 6-0 at the tournament, including two major decisions…finished third at the Cyclone Open (Nov. 15), going 6-1 with two major decisions, a technical fall and a pin…finished seventh at CKLV (Dec. 4-5), going 5-2 with a major decision…named Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week (Feb. 16), following a perfect 3-0 performance against Stanford, CSU Bakersfield and Cal Poly...named Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team...named NWCA Division I All-Academic, one of only 36 individuals in the country to garner All-America and NWCA All-Academic honors.
FRESHMAN (2014-15):
Went 30-7 in his collegiate debut, winning the Pac-12 Championships at 141 pounds (March 1) and earning an automatic berth to the NCAA Championships...named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, the first such award for a Bronco since 2009 (Jason Chamberlain)...of his 30 victories, eight came via fall, three came via major decision and three came via technical fall...went 3-2 at the national tournament (March 19-20), falling one victory shy of earning All-America status...entered the NCAA Championships as the No. 8 seed...won each of his matches via decision en route to becoming the second freshman to capture an individual conference title in school history (Chamberlain)...started 10 of the Broncos' 12 duals at 141, going a perfect 10-0...went 6-6 against nationally-ranked opponents (InterMat)...finished second at the Southern Scuffle (Jan. 1-2), recording four bonus-point victories -- three major decisions and a fall -- before falling in the championship via a 6-4 decision to eighth-ranked Lavion Mayes of Missouri...recorded a major decision over 20th-ranked Anthony Abidin of Nebraska (10-2) and a pin over 10th-ranked Zach Horan of Central Michigan...finished fourth at the Cowboy Open (Nov. 8), going 5-2 with two pins and a technical fall...fell in the consolation finals...finished fifth at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 5-6), going 6-2 with a pin and a technical fall...recorded two victories over ranked opponents, including a pin of 17th-ranked Jamel Hudson of Hofstra (5:09).

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER
Three-time state champion at Pine Creek High School, losing only two matches during his prep career for head coach Billy Gabel...went 43-1 as a freshman and 41-0 as a sophomore, winning a state title each season...went 38-1 as a junior, finishing runner-up at the state tournament, then capped his final prep campaign with a 44-0 record and third state championship...first-team all-state in each of his four seasons, combining for an overall record of 166-2 with 110 pins, and earned 5A Wrestler of the Year and Colorado Wrestler of the Year honors as a senior...at the National High School Coaches Association Wrestling Championships, earned All-America status three times, finishing fifth as a freshman, and third both his sophomore and senior seasons...took second at the USA Wrestling Cadet Freestyle Tournament as a sophomore, and also finished fourth in freestyle that same season...finished runner-up at the FILA Cadet Greco Tournament as a junior...four-time UNC Christmas Cup champion, a four-time USA Metro champion and won the Temecula Battle for the Belt championship...was twice named academic all-state, in addition to being named to the principal's honor roll twice.
