2019-20: CROSS COUNTRY Competed in five meets for the Broncos…finished first or second in all five races…led the Broncos with a top-10 finish at the Bill Dellinger Invitational (Sept. 29)…ran the fastest time for the Blue and Orange in the championship race at the Nuttycombe Invitational (Oct. 18)…secured second-team All-Mountain West honors with an eighth-place finish at the Mountain West Championships (Nov. 1)…grabbed a top-20 finish at the NCAA West Regional earning his first-career All-West Region accolade (Nov. 15)…finished second for the Broncos at the NCAA Championships (Nov. 23)...INDOOR Began the season at the Ed Jacoby Invitational (Jan. 24-25) finishing second in the mile…set a personal best in the mile at the Husky Invitational (Feb. 14-15) running a time of 4:04.25, giving him the fourth-fastest time in school history…finished 15th at the Mountain West Indoor Championships (Feb. 27-29)…took the title in the mile at the MW Championships, earning All-MW honors…OUTDOOR – Season canceled due to coronavirus pandemic.

2018-19: CROSS COUNTRY- A member of the top seven in all five meets he saw action in . . . Opened the season with a second place effort at the Sundodger Invitational, helping to lead a 1-7 Boise State sweep in 24:22.60 (Sept. 8) . . . Improved on his freshman showing at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, cracking the top 50 in 49th as a sophomore, running 24:01.2 (Sept. 28) . . . The Bronco’s top runner at the Mountain West Championships, improving from his 29th-place finish as a freshman, to fourth as a sophomore. Earned first-team all-conference honors in leading Boise State to the team title (Oct. 26) . . . Missed all-region honors by four spots as Boise State’s No. 4 runner, placing 29th (30:08.1) to help lead the Broncos to a third-place finish (Nov. 9) . . . The team’s fifth runner in 188th (31:29.3) at the NCAA National Championships (Nov. 17) . . . INDOOR- Took home the victory in the mile at the Ed Jacoby Invitational, posting a six-second personal best in 4:13.38 (Jan. 18-19) . . . set a new personal best with an 8:10.62 in the 3000m at the UW Invitational (Jan. 25-26) . . . improved on his personal best with an 8:08.62 in the 3000m at the Husky Classic (Feb. 8) . . . was 12th at the conference championship in the 5000m, running 15:22.90 (Feb. 21-23) . . . OUTDOOR- Debuted with the fifth-fastest outdoor 5000m time in program history, running 13:57.26 at the Stanford Invitational (March 29-30) . . . qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Round in the same event, where he placed 43rd (May 23-25) . . . ran a personal best of 3:48.71 in the 1,500-meter at the Bryan Clay Invite (April 17-19) . . . also appeared in the 5,000-meter at the Mountain West Championship (May 8-11).

2017-18: CROSS COUNTRY- Impressive season for the lone true freshman to appear on the men’s side for Boise State . . . A scorer in four-out-of-five meets he competed in . . . The Mountain West Men’s Freshman of the Year after finishing in 29th (Oct. 27) . . . Boise State’s No. 3 runner in his first NCAA Championship experience, finishing as the 11th freshman in the field in 113th (Nov. 18) . . . Crucial No. 3 scorer for Boise State at the West Region Championships, running 30:16.6 for the first 10k of his career (Nov. 10) . . . No. 2 runner for Boise State at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational in 83rd (Oct. 13) . . . Made his collegiate debut at the Greater Louisville Classic, finishing as the No. 5 Bronco in 24:39.57 for 8k (Sept. 30) . . . INDOOR- Competed in both the 3,000m and 5,000m at the conference championship, taking 16th in the 5,000m, and 18th in the 3,000m (Feb. 22-24) . . . Ran a personal best in 8:17.28 in the 3,000m at the 2018 Husky Classic (Feb. 9-10) . . . Made his indoor track debut in the mile at the Bronco Invitational (Jan. 20), running 4:21.65 for ninth. Also ran the 1,200m leg for the Boise State ‘Orange’ DMR at the Ed Jacoby Invite (Jan. 12-13) . . . Ran 8:22.18 for 3,000m at the UW Invitational (Jan. 26-27) . . . OUTDOOR- Saw action in four meets on the season . . . Opened the outdoor season with a 14:16.27 5,000m at the Stanford Invitational, taking second in his heat (March 30-31) . . . Set his personal best of 14:06.49 in the 5,000m at the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 19-20) . . . Took second in the 1,500m at the Border Clash thanks to a personal best of 3:49.32 (April 27-28) . . . Was just shy of scoring at the Mountain West Championships, finishing 10th in the 5,000m (May 9-12).

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER
The 2016 Men’s Cross Country Oregon Sports Award recipient, Ahmed Muhumed, compiled quite the cross country resume while competing at West Salem HS. The highlights of his cross country prep accomplishments came in the form of back-to-back titles at the Oregon 6A Cross Country State Championships. He also took 13th at the Nike Northwest Regional and finished eighth at the Nike Oregon-Washington Border Clash. Muhumed’s best season on the track came in 2016 when he took third in both the 1,500m and 3,000m at the state championships, running career-best times (3:52.44 and 8:25.87) on both occasions. 1,500m – 3:52.44 | 3,000m – 8:25.87
