The former Boise State record holder for most field goals in a single season, Tyler Rausa returned to his alma mater as a member of the coaching staff in 2023. He is currently an assistant specialists coach and external relations coordinator.

Prior to joining the Boise State staff, Rausa spent the 2022 season with the USFL’s Tampa Bay Bandits.

Rausa played for the Broncos from 2013-16. In his junior season in 2015, he was 25-for-30 in field goals, which set a program record for made field goals in a single season, and a Lou Groza Award semifinalist. The record stood until Jonah Dalmas broke it with 26 in 2021.

In high school, the Murrieta, Calif. product was a two-sport athlete in football and baseball at Vista Murrieta High School. He earned MaxPreps All-America honors as a senior and helped his team to the 2011 CIF Championship.
