Heather Berry was promoted to Senior Associate Athletic Director, Athletics Personnel Services and Athletics Chief of Staff in September of 2022. She had been serving as the Associate Athletic Director for Human Resource Services since January 2019, while taking on the Chief of Staff role starting in February 2022. Berry has worked for Boise State Athletics since concluding her athletic (women's basketball) career for the Broncos in 2006.
In her current role, Berry manages the athletic personnel services and business operations areas for Bronco Athletics. She also assists in strategic planning and decision-making for the entire department, while also providing administrative support for the Director of Athletics and serving on the leadership and senior staff teams while being the primary sport administrator for soccer.
A member of the Boise State women’s basketball team from 2001-06, Berry (formerly Heather Little) began her professional career with Bronco Athletics as the department’s events committee coordinator. She moved on to become an administrative assistant, providing support for the director of athletics and other senior department officials in 2007.
For the next four years, Berry served as student insurance and human resource coordinator before being promoted to director of human resources and student insurance.
Berry was promoted to the assistant athletic director for personnel in June of 2015 completing all human resources functions for the department, including oversight of the area of student-athlete insurance.
Originally from Kearns, Utah, Berry earned a bachelor’s degree in health science studies from Boise State in 2005, and a master’s in athletic administration from Idaho State in 2006.
Berry and her husband, Lamar, have a daughter, Brooklyn, and son, Braxton.
