All American Football Player, Boise State 1957-58
Inducted into the Boise State Hall of Fame in 1987

Herb Halliwell was an All-American tailback on two of the finest football teams in Boise Junior College history. The 1957 team was invited to play in the Potato Bowl in Bakersfield, California and the 1958 team won the National Junior College Championship. The Broncos ran a single wing offense at this time and Halliwell was a major factor in the success of both teams.
