CALDWELL, Idaho – Use of a lateral pass when within striking distance of the goal, plus an elusive halfback named Martin, brought the invading Boise Junior College elven a 25 to 6 victory over the College of Idaho second stringers here Thursday afternoon.
Â
Scoring two touchdowns in the second quarter and two more in the final period, the Junior College called upon a lateral pass play with Martin lugging the pigskin for three touchdowns. The fourth was made late in the game, Joyce, substitute quarter, heaving the ball to Shaw, halfback, who ran 45 yards to tally.
Â
The Coyote seconds' only score came in the last quarter also, an end intercepting a pass for a touchdown jaunt. Play was fairly close in the first and third periods, ranging back and forth in midfield.
