BOISE, Idaho - Boise State University’s Ty Axtman and Breanna Sande were named the Western Athletic Conference men’s and women’s cross country Athletes of the Week, Monday.
Axtman, a senior from Elma, Wash., won the fourth annual Hampton Inn and Suites Fall Harrier Classic. He posted a six-kilometer time of 18-minutes, 36.71-seconds, .28-seconds ahead of All-American teammate Forest Braden. The duo led the Broncos to a first-place finish, gathering 26 points.
Sande, a sophomore from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, won the women’s four-kilometer race at the Hampton Inn and Suites Fall Harrier Classic. Sande finished in a time of 14:40.80, four seconds ahead of her nearest competitor.
