Cortney Leads Bronco Divers on Three-Meter

TUCSON, Ariz.-Ciera Cortney earned a top-20 finish to lead the Boise State divers on three-meter Friday, at the Wildcat Diving Invitational in Tucson, Ariz. Cortney, a sophomore, finished with a score of 226.30 and finished 20th in the Broncos' first championship-style meet of the season. Cortney placed fourth out of the 18 Mountain West divers in the field.
Junior Lexi Pfeiffer followed Cortney for the Broncos, finishing in a tie for 24th with a 213.00, Pfeiffer's career-best score at a championship-style meet.
Freshman Erin Kohlbeck and senior Tana Loan finished 38th and 39th, respectively. Freshman Breanna Hemming rounded out the Boise State contingent with a 42nd-place showing.
The Wildcat Diving Invitational continues Saturday, with the three-meter competition. The Bronco swimmers are also in action Saturday, at Seattle.
