12/3/2012 12:00:00 AM | Men's Basketball

SEATTLE – The Boise State men’s basketball team (6-1) defeated Seattle 87-64 Sunday at KeyArena, ending the Redhawks’ 10-game home winning streak.

Anthony Drmic tied his season high with 25 points, Mikey Thompson scored a career-high 19 and Derrick Marks added 14.

Seattle (2-3) had not lost since Jan. 13, 2012, when it fell to Utah Valley 84-74.

Seattle scored the game’s first basket, but Drmic scored eight-straight in the midst of a 10-0 Bronco run, and Boise State didn’t relinquish the lead.

The Broncos’ 23-point victory is its largest margin of the season.

Boise State shot better than 50 percent from the field for the third-consecutive game, and the team’s 15 3-point field goals is one shy of the school record set against Elon, Dec, 21, 2004.

Marks added a career-high six steals, while Igor Hadziomerovic recorded a career-high six assists.

The Broncos close their three-game road trip at Utah, Wednesday. Tip-off between Boise State and the Utes is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., and the game will be televised by the Pac-12 Network.
