Nonconference slate features 15 games; eight at ExtraMile Arena

BOISE, Idaho — Boise State men's basketball announced its 2026 regular season nonconference schedule on Monday. The slate features 15 games against teams from 11 states.

Under head coach Leon Rice, who is entering his 17th season, Boise State has amassed a 138-58 (.704) record in nonconference play, including a 44-17 (.721) mark over the past five years.

Playing eight of the 15 games at ExtraMile Arena, Boise State opens its 2026-27 campaign at home on Nov. 4 against West Coast Baptist. A member of the Pacific Christian Athletic Conference, the Broncos will play the Eagles for the first time in program history.

Following the season opener, Boise State will host Butler on Nov. 8, looking to sweep the home-and-home series. Wrapping three-consecutive games at ExtraMile Arena to start the year, the Broncos aim to remain undefeated all time against Oakland on Nov. 11.

After playing Nebraska in a neutral-site contest in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Nov. 15, Boise State returns home for back-to-back games against Sam Houston State and Idaho State on Nov. 20 and Nov. 24, respectively. The Broncos are 2-0 versus the Bearkats all time and 52-42 against their former conference foe.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, Boise State travels to Idaho Falls for the Snake River Collegiate Basketball Invitational at Mountain America Center. The Broncos will play Drake, North Texas and North Dakota State on Nov. 27, 28 and 29.

The final six nonconference games begin on Dec. 5 against Wichita State at Charles Koch Arena. In a thriller last season at home, the Broncos defeated the Shockers 62-59.

Returning home for consecutive games at ExtraMile Arena, the Broncos welcome Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Utah Valley to Boise on Dec. 12 and Dec. 16. The game against the Islanders serves as the first in team history, while Boise State seeks its eighth-straight victory versus the Wolverines.

In a neutral-site event, the Broncos head to Southern California to play Santa Clara and New Mexico, a former Mountain West foe, at JSerra Catholic High School on Dec. 21 and Dec. 23. Boise State concludes nonconference play at home against Lamar on Dec. 29.
